A major winter storm is hitting the Niagara region with as much as 1.5 metres of snow. Adrian Ghobrial reports.

    1. @Ak47 The only way we are getting five feet of snow is if I pile it up at the end of my driveway. Even the worse areas are not predicted to get more than 30″ of snow over the course of three days.

      The worst snow storm I ever experienced was between January 28 to February 1, 1977. There was over eight feet of fallen snow with drifts as high as 40 feet. We were warned not to touch electric wires because the snow was drifting as high as the top of electric poles. It was a wicked winter storm but nobody declared a state of emergency.

      EDIT: It appears some snowfall predictions were wrong. Some areas have already reached the prediction of 30″. Heavy snowfall in the snow belt shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Cheers.

  1. It’s crazy when you see that much snow and then see little cars in the ditch. Just stay home work ain’t that important
