Crouse: ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ is a self-aware film, but lacks ambition

After 18 years, Neo has been raised from the dead by Lana Wachowski in “The Matrix Resurrections,” now playing in theatres.

  1. I was underwhelmed with the visuals, cinematography, colors and so forth. The original movie was like watching a well designed painting.

  2. Seems like we are seeing a stark contrast between these long running franchises which either drip with disdain over their fanbase and legacy OR try to celebrate both. Guess which ones are making the money at the box office…
