The wealthy people have been playing a pyramid scheme with the stock market.
Corporations have shattered records for buying back their own stocks..
Driving the stocks value up..Then the working class see the stock is rising in value showing a great investment…The working class jumps in and buys some with their 401K plans as the value is still increasing…Then the corporation starts dumping their own stocks as the value keeps going up.
Spend $5 Million to buy back your own stock and about one month latter sell your own stock to the American people for $23 Million…not a bad week

A 2015 Trump return shows without the AMT Trump would have paid zero in taxes.
He made $150 million then wrote off $150 million in losses..
Because of the AMT he was forced to pay $ 38 million in taxes.
The past two years under his new rules- he would be back at ZERO taxes .
