The Senate approved the stimulus package Tuesday; a House vote is scheduled for Thursday. President Donald Trump has signaled he will sign it. A majority of the Paycheck Protection Program would direct more than $320 billion to small businesses with $60 billion being set aside for community-based lenders, smaller banks and credit unions to assist businesses that don't have established relationships with banks.

    1. There can’t be facts going forward because this virus is unknown. The best we can do is look to the other countries that are slightly ahead of us in dealing with this. But non of our leaders have done that.

  1. How bad is it when the US thinks H1N1 was the Swine Flu when in fact, H1N1 was Spanish Flu..Swine flu is a hybrid of the H1N1

    1. A number of the recent influenza outbreaks that were publicized have been results of the influenza subtype A called H1N1. The Spanish Flu of 1918 and the Swine Flu (popularly called H1N1) outbreak of 2009 were both strains of this subtype H1N1. The H and N of the virus describe the varying levels of antigens (molecules that produce immune response) in the viral structure. This variability is what makes vaccination difficult, as the mutations levels of strains leave the human body’s immune system incapable of recognizing and responding to them.

  2. ” We’ve done more than any nation in the world, go a step further–if you added up the testing of every nation in the world put them together we’ve done substantially more than that”
    Guess what!
I started doing that, I stopped after I added Italy Spain and Germany and found they added up to more than 4.5 million in a total population of 191 million.
The U.S.A. has tested just over 4.3 million in a population of 330 million.
The U.S. needs to test 7.77 million to equal this ratio.
When it comes to testing U.S.A. ranks 39th in the world
Don’t know if he is deliberately telling lies or he is just ill informed.
The infection rate in the U.S. is still increasing the death rate is 5.3%.
People are at their most infectious in the week before they have symptoms, stay home so you don’t get it or pass it on if you have it.
Trump is dangerous, do your own research look after yourselves and others the worst may be yet to come.

    1. @James Thomas
No fear here mate, and even if there was that wouldn’t change the facts, look after yourself.

  3. Wow. Just wow. This is why I usually just listen to the updates at my state level. This is a circus.

  4. Oh. Come on, the Covid 19 was here already in the winter with the regular flu and I may add, that Most Covid numbers were actually plain flu.

    1. @Merranda Kimble Oh C’mon… Basicly you’re like Trump. Here’s what I think, I am wrong but I don’t care. Be constructive or go back to your MLM.

    2. @Swann Reid And this flyer is saying that the tomatoes are at a reduced price this week. What does it have to do with anything ?

  6. He and the First Lady planted a tree. How wonderful. That’s something we used to do in elementary school. 🙄🤪

  7. There’s a clear cut path to “Recovery”
    1. Shut down all your Boarders – international & interstate
    2. Lockdown the public for at least a month
    3. Essential workers only allowed to go out
    4. One person only from each household allowed out to the Supermarket to purchase food or allowed to Doctors or Drug Stores
    5. Shut down all your Elderly/Disabled/Mentally & Emotionally unwell homes, also test all their staff
    6. Organise groups within the community who can check on your elderly & go out to do food shopping for them
    7. Do not open any shops e.g. Hair Salons, Nail Salons, Tatoo Parlours, any shops that have public contact
    8. USA Federal Govt, needs to allow all workers that are unable to work due to Covid a work subsidy
    9. TEST, TEST, TEST
How do I know, cause I’m from New Zealand and we are succeeding because of the above!!!

    1. 10. Tank the economy 11. Bankrupt the government 12. Crash civilization 13. Riots and anarchy 14. Martial Law 15. ?

    2. @Michael David You have the richest economy in the world, USA will never be bankrupt, TRUMP has suspended financial assistance to WHO by approximately $400million, there are far too many decent, soul based intelligent humans in USA for Civilisation to crash, anarchy and riots to rein, it won’t get to martial law….you have a lot of beautiful people in your country, a good dose of taking care of the environment instead of exploiting it wouldn’t go amiss either…Good Luck USA, you can heal
