I read a report that says if you are admitted to the hospital with corona, the hospital charges medicare $13,000 and if you need a ventilator, it will charge medicare $39,000…no wonder that are so many tested positive…follow the money

@David O’Bryant The didnt have to shut down their economy because they IMMEDIATLY tested and quarantied the infected when south Korea got its first case in December 15th. The US didnt do anything with the first 15 people who got infected the same day, Trump claimed it would go away but it didnt and now companies are not comfortable being open as the death toll/cases rise. If the US had taken it seriously the first time and enforced a nationwide lockdown, it wouldnt be in this mess. Blame your bumbling president who now has death on his hands
Asia is seeing the second wave and here our ‘Stable Genius’ is itching to open the country when the first wave hasn’t even ended yet.

Australians followed government instructions, though here too some idiots came out of lockdown, but the police took charge. Now the worst is over and soon Australia will slowly open back up.
@VS Berlina ok I’ll invest a little time in explaining how deaths per million of the total population is calculated. Not only does the POTUS have a lot to answer for but so does the US education department. Divide the number of total deaths by the total population it’s that simple. So for Aust it’s 2.96 per million and for US it is 153 deaths per million. 153 is significantly more than 2.96 just in case you can’t work that out. The government also attempted to impose some rules that we the people didn’t approve of, such as banning visits to girlfriend/boyfriend’s home & banning fishing, so we forced our will onto the police & government on those & they obeyed us & removed those restrictions. @Radix Malorum I’m lower middle-class myself, thru cirumstances at best. So I’m not speaking from a golden castle, exactly. The only way I see, possibly, is being unified in ordering the police to constantly monitor/control people and then force people to respect social distancing, wearing of masks in public etc ; to be ultra-ultra-strict with enforcing clear guidelines and then slapping those who resist with high fines, the police prominently visible in the streets, in many stores. Stop the politicisation of this absolute necessity. It will not be nice, but I see no nother option to have some sort of balance. I would not have a problem with police in the streets, as I have no problem to sacrifice things for the greater good !

The advice from Australia (one of the few countries with genuine control over the virus through good management) is that masks are useless for the public & give a false sense of security & consequently increase virus spread & as such they do NOT recommend wearing them, even though Australia now has enough masks that we could if it was desired. That’s even for proper ones, let alone home made placebos

When are you going to start discussing Australia & New Zealand? Why are you so reluctant to share with people that the entire pacific region, ie numerous underdeveloped island countries with next to no resourses, under the management of Oz & NZ, are on track to eradicate this virus completely within months? Why mention South Korea’s single digit cases but not the culturally & size identical to America, Australia & New Zealand’s consistent single digit cases now both have the virus under control?
