  1. College should be free like it is here in Europe. I went to college for $0 dollars including my Masters degree. America is a Ponzi scheme.

    1. @TrumpVirus-19
More baseless disproven conspiracy theories from the dumb party. I’m still waiting to hear about a policy or a law that’s racist, or are you going to tell me when I show up to your place to see that dd214. Thats what it is whats your address.

  2. I think people forgot how this pandemic has changed the course of things for all students and no its not safe to return to class just yet and not all students excel with online vs in person instructions but the school wants to make money none the less

    1. what experience are you on about? the experience of having to navigate a business structure thats SILO and have to run to 10 different departments to find out what lil piece of information you’re missing to qualify for a grant? the experience of drinking away your nights and pulling D’s instead of B’s or A’s on exams? or the ability for young women to earn their Mrs instead of a PHD??

    2. @Miso Mama You also have libraries with computers/printers that you can use if something happened to yours or if you are doing group project work, hands on learning on campus (I didnt do too much of that myself when I could avoid it, but some do better in a room than just online), many univerisities have access to a gym or other facilities like labs that get charged every semester even if you dont use them, parking etc.

All you did was name the cliche college experience of partying and rushing to class which frankly is usually the fault of the student. And even in those cases they still have access to many things that they will not have access to this fall in a fully online environment.

  3. As bad as Covid-19 is it has shined a light on so many things we need to have a serious discussion about. For profit education, insurance, liveable wages, the price of homes/rent, equality etc. The US is home to 623 billionaires and 18.6 million millionaires?! OMG! Imagine what could be accomplished if they paid their fair share in taxes!

    1. @Tucker Carlson This from another fake acct bot with no start date: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClsxO5XJ0K6KorAi6qYnpqA
*UNDER CHUMP*: Jackbooted private army thugs invading our cities with no i.d., snatching peaceful demonstrators off the streets & driving them away in unmarked vehicles; Racist cops literally murdering unarmed Black men on camera; Amazon, Chevron, General Motors, Delta, Halliburton & IBM paying zero federal taxes: A president who calls himself a patriot but is too stupid to pronounce the name of Yosemite National Park.
Anything Biden does will be an improvement over Don Teh Con’s mismanagement & flat-out grifting.
FYI, Candace Owens is a dunt that nobody listens to except fools like you the the Fux News crowd.
Herman Cain was another Black Chump supporter who cared more about Crump than his own life. Instead of listening to the medical experts, he went to a Chump rally where no one wore masks, got the Covid virus & died. And Don The Con never acknowledged that he died from Covid

    2. G1 Transformed so true! And we blew it. We had two good options, Sanders and Warren and we blew it. Tragic.

    3. @rosalind ganymede No, WE didn’t blow it — Bernie blew it by kowtowing to the DNC & quitting when Obama called & asked him to drop out. He should have stood his ground, stoop up for the Progressive movement & refused to quit until the Dem convention! Imagine how many delegates he would have now & the leverage that would have given him. Unless they threatened to whack him if he didn’t drop out, I’ll never get why he quit so early…

    4. rosalind ganymede , True, but it doesn’t matter now. Should Biden when and the Democrats take the Senate and keep the House, someone’s going to draw a bill and it will get past. Everyone accept Trump’s cult can see that something’s very wrong.

      Better days are coming.

  4. I guess everybody is recognizing now how mass of Trump has messed this whole United States home in less than one year

    1. Trump = Law & Order, Low taxes, Protected borders, Patriotism
      Biden = the complete opposite!

  5. Cost I am paying for my daughters and she goes to Xavier. I paid for my sons also. It is crushing us, but they are worth it!

    1. yo..its the same cost whether its distance learning or not. same content same course load. why should there be a difference if everyone is still expected to turn in the same coursework? you still use the same resources as in class students.

  6. As a student preparing to return to school next week: I don’t question the cost of the education, I want educators to be paid well. What I question is the bloating administrative costs and the price of both campus activities and facilities. Like many other things in our country, the primary purpose of attending college has been marginalized to secondary concerns like sports, big name administrators, and a pretty campus. That is the cost being looked at with disdain.

    1. scam was here before Covid. gov hasnt invested in education in decades. i mean we all watched Agent Orange make that award scholarship to an under-privileged african american girl then turned around the same week to cut funding for education. because thats what Republikkkans do. colleges teach industry concepts that are outdated by 10yrs +.

  7. “Ask for a discount”
Oh jeez, thank you for that priceless advice, as if people have not thought of that.
    Embarrassing

  8. she is wrong saying students taking college classes dont know what classes will be in-person and the ones with the option or distance learning. the listed courses identify which ones are avail for distance learning. i’d say there is no negotiation here seeing as how she got the basic information wrong. it never hurts to ask but more than likely you’ll get an answer more along the lines of take fewer classes or apply for grants as you would normally expect. its the same cost whether its distance learning or not. same content same course load. why should there be a cost difference if everyone is still expected to turn in the same coursework? you still use the same resources as in-class students. its not like theres a different curriculum just because you study at home for the same class as in-class students.

what experience are you on about? the experience of having to navigate a business structure thats SILO and have to run to 10 different departments to find out what lil piece of information you’re missing to qualify for a grant? the experience of drinking away your nights and pulling D’s instead of B’s or A’s on exams? or the ability for young women to earn their Mrs instead of a PHD??

  9. The potential of $100,000 for four years of webinars is going to make a lot of people question the system.

  10. For the cost of university, especially for foreign and out of state students I would never pay that kind of money for online courses.
