While on the ground in Paris, CNN's Frederick Pleitgen gets hit with tear gas during a fresh round of demonstrations over government plans to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64, a day before a crucial court ruling on the constitutionality of the divisive law. #CNN #News

Humanity has made itself look very foolish in recent years, inviting such consequences.
That’s a very vague statement
CNN is very good at collecting information from around the world In all circumstances. ❤❤❤ 👍
😂
@User T-Mobile?
Ridiculous
@Teeveepicksures News very positive about the political left
This whole world is insane!!!! 😢
I pray for the 🌎
@Chau Ho
Do YOU really? I mean, really?
5:35 French guy lighting up a cigarette while being gassed.
I respect Pleitgen for being there during all that chaos. To broadcast what’s happening in all of this is impressive and takes grit.
@Cranjis Mcbasketball
Exactly. Don’t look at the freedom they seek….just look at the violence. Good job there champ
hes there to make CNN money. not to spread awareness..
我的窗外,阳光明媚,岁月静好,可这世界真是太乱了!
4:42 That isn’t sound advice with tear gas around… XD
Go France go ❤🇫🇷
God Bless Freedom ❤
I wish he would secure his helmet strap. 😮
Triggered one. Got ya!😊
@BUZZ What? Buzz using buzz words
I wish they would all start singing “do you hear the people sing”. History in France has never been kind to leaders that anger the people!
Lol, “Fred, catch your breath!” What a numpty, does he propose that Fred takes a deep breath in? There is no catching your breath when surrounded by tear gas.
“Fred, are you back with me?”
“Yeah, I just got a load of tear gas in my face” and continues to report …
Damn.
Same thing happened in Lafayette Park, when Trump wanted to be photographed at a church (he never attended) with a bible (he never read).
*While coughing up tear gas*
“From our vantage point, the demonstrations here have been mostly peaceful.”
*Explosion goes off in the middle of the crowed down the road, full gear riot police rush down a side line, large smashes can be heard.*
“Huh it seems like those people are essentially trying to break down the window of a shop there.”
“It’s almost like a carnival type atmosphere.”
Bruhh.. It’s obvious Black Rock has their hand so far up Fred’s rear end, that he can’t even speak for himself when he’s gasping for air and choking on tear gas. And the anchor trying to take control of the narrative while his co-worker is hacking a lung up.
“I’ll describe what’s going on, and you can tell me if you are okay after.”
The standard of journalism today..
Nah! Fred loves this stuff! He was in Ukraine for a long time. And in some pretty serious danger for most of it. He’s loves the adrenaline!
@YosetimeI am sure deep down within your comment you understand the irony of both cases, bottom line you just confirmed the original comment.
Fred is an adrenaline junkie for sure!! First in Ukraine during some pretty scary times, now over in France getting tear gassed!! I wonder where he felt safer?
French people don’t stop
Keep up the good work
CNN’s Frederick Pleitgen. Now that’s boots on the ground. Great reporting and bravery!!
