Today I cried when Biden addressed the nation to mourn our losses to covid. It was so moving, watching them stand together as couples, looking out in silence on the reflecting pool. I felt so moved watching my country’s most historic monuments loom around this empty void. Then the nurse spoke and I broke down. To see her healthy and happy in her heart even during the worst times… it gave me so much hope. I strongly believe that Kamala and Biden are what we need right now. This whole past year it’s like nobody could speak about it. It’s hard with all these covid deniers everywhere too. All of that. We needed to hear from somebody in power that they care about us and eachother. We needed to hear the silence and mourn together.
