Chuck Rosenberg Podcast With Maya Wiley | The Oath Ep – 22 | MSNBC

Maya Wiley is a brilliant and powerful woman who has spent her professional life at the intersection of law, education, and policy. Born into both privilege and poverty – the child of two prominent civil rights activists, Maya grew up in a loving and intact home and, yet, in a broken educational system. And if that seems contradictory, Maya explains why it is not.

Educated at Dartmouth and Columbia, Maya served in city government and in the federal government, at the United States Department of Justice. Her most recent turn in public service put her in charge of the Civilian Complaint Review Board – the independent oversight agency of the New York City Police Department – the largest police force in the nation. This gave Maya a unique perspective on policing in America – particularly, what we need to do as a nation to address police misconduct, to improve policing, and to build bridges between police and the communities they are sworn to serve. Maya’s moving story is one of struggle and success, of love and tragedy, of friends and mentors and, always, of the pursuit of justice, dignity, and equality for all.

Maya shares with host Chuck Rosenberg reflections on her extraordinary public service career and her work at the forefront of the civil rights movement.

  1. Snowflakes are even more afraid of statues (statuephobe) then they are Trump rallies (magapanic)

  2. God send His Son Jesus Christ to save you from all your sins. He died on the cross for your sins, was buried and third day He rose again – *1Cor 15:1-4 The Gospel of Salvation.* It means, your death has been paid! What death? The death of sin. The wage of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior – Rom 6:23. Believe in Him. The nano second you believe, you are saved, sealed with the Holy Spirit and sanctified until the day of redemption. It is not a proces, it is event!

What to do to became a child of God?

A – Admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior. As it is written: There is non righteous, no, not one – Romans 3:10. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23

B – Believe on finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the Cross – Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried and He rose again the third day – 1Cor 15:1-4. If you want to enter to the Kingdom of Heaven, you must be like a child – children trust their parents. Why I mention parents? Because God is our Creator. He is our Father, He is our Parent – Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart – Jeremiah 1:5

C – Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved – Romans 10:9-10. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved – Romans 10:13.

Jesus Christ is the shower/water, that cleans us of all unrighteousness – come now, let us settle the matter, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; thought they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool – Isajah 1:18

Shalom and God bless you a protect you all ♥️🙏

  3. The topic of the day should be; Archbishop Vigano’s calls MSNBC and CNN ( the Devil’s mouthpiece ) Read his Letter to the president.

  4. I so admire Maya Wiley in every way. So says a 72 year old white guy who would vote for Maya Wiley for President.

  5. I absolutely admire the thoughtful approach to how Maya Wiley peels away the layers of a complex problem. And explains it in such clear manner. Great interview Chuck. 👍

  6. I got an 800 on my verbal GRE and I can tell you from the heart, that my score, personally, just means I’m good at taking GREs; it’s like doing crosswords. It’s a fun dance mentally but nobody will hire me for crosswords. As far as the value to the university (UCRiverside and UCIrvine), I couldn’t even get an admin assistant job at my alma mater. So really, it meant nothing to rhem, except as a bludfeon.
