The most illuminating correlation gleaned from the data is that Republicans are less trusting of people generally, and many won’t answer pollsters’ questions. At the same time, many Dems feel aggrieved and answer pollsters’ questions with enthusiasm. There’s the current systemic breakdown in polling in a nutshell.
