General Motors closes a chapter in muscle cars, as the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaros will come off the assembly line in January 2024.

On Wednesday, GM said the final sixth-generation Camaros will come off the assembly line at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan in January next year.
Scott Bell, vice president of Global Chevrolet, did not say what will replace the muscle car, but said "this is not the end of Camaro’s story."

love the look!
Back in the 1960’s, brand names of cars meant something. Many times us kids would be next to a road literally yelling at people in cars driving by “Yea Ford, Boo Chevy” (or vice-versa). So funny to think of us doing that back then, but car brands meant something back then, and brands competed against each other in the USA much more apparently. There were not as many foreign cars in the USA back then, and many more USA choices to choose from that no longer exist unfortunately. Common sayings were things such as “As goes US Steel, goes America”, and “As goes General Motors, goes America”. You sure don’t hear stuff like that any more.
Loved the slick Camaro. Too big and ugly now
The classic, unique design was immediately noticeable. The value of those will shoot sky high.
The Camaro was dropped once before and brought back. It’s already been noted there may be a replacement in the works, so it will mostly be an electric 4 door similar to the E-stang or what ever Ford calls the Mustang.
