    1. @Social Distance Warrior If the bear was truly wild she would have been in big trouble when the soman ran away.

    2. @ET Himself – I am aware that if the bear wanted to do harm, it would have. That doesn’t mean it isn’t worrying for the woman in video.

    1. @Vic E Walking backwards strengthens different muscles in your legs .. You will notice football players, especially defensive backs , doing ” backpedaling” quite a bit . (When I coached soccer , i had players sprint forward 40 yards , stop quickly , then backpedal for 10 yards , then sprint forward again for 40 yards , and then repeat the exercise . )

    1. She was pretty calm indeed, and as far as “running” as others comment, she didnt “run” from the bear. She just resumed her jogging”.

    1. @Little Crafty Kitty I was thinking that. I think she did do that cause it shows her standing in that spot for a moment.ent before we see the bear
So she basically is causing the bear to be trapped and killed now.

  1. This is dumb. You make a trail in the forest where these bears live, and now you wanna trap it for being a bear.

    1. You’ve obviously never encountered the wild before. There is a lot more wilderness in this country than urban areas.

Educate yourself on the dangers of the wild before making silly comments.

  2. “A swipe”…makes it sounds like the poor bear mauled the lady when all it it did was what most cats do at home when they ask you for food. I am happy both are ok though.

    1. Very lucky she wasn’t killed or hurt bad, bears live their so stay out the way, that’s their home and territory, simple! Dont trap it !

  3. That bear was no danger! It was surprised and curious! That’s all! had it been a real threat she wouldn’t be here to talk about it.

The bear made no attempt to go after her !

    1. @Lance Lance What about that sick guy who killed women in his pig farm in Surrey, Did they free him from jail already?

    2. Ever been tapped by a bear before? It’s like being cut by a professional serial killer…

Those claws can kill you with those taps…

  4. That wasn’t much of a swipe, more like a polite “please move away”. A bear swipe is a lot faster and more aggressive if they are angry. The bear seemed more curious and would have chased if it was hungry or angry.

  5. Ive had similar encounters with squirrels here in England, The trick is to stay calm and not show any sign of weakness.
