Roseau, Dominica– May 21, 2010……… Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Alix Boyd Knights has announced that the Marigot and Salisbury seats are now vacant.
Hon. Alix Boyd Knights explained that the seats had been vacated because Mr. Edison James and Mr. Hector John, formerly the Members for the Marigot and Salisbury constituencies did not comply with the rules of the House, specifically Standing Order 15.

Dr. John Colin McIntyre has indicated that the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is seeking to broaden its relationships with Third Countries and Groups of Countries in response to the new challenges in the international global community.
Dr. McIntyre made the statement at a press conference following the conclusion of the 13th meeting of the COFCOR which was held in Dominica for the first time from May 5-6, 2010.
