Basseterre, May 13 (Prensa Latina) Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas and Consular Affairs) Diane Ablonczy started a visit to 7 Caribbean countries. She will discuss topics related with cooperation, security and economy in the Caribbean.
The official website of the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis said the Canadian minister will visit this Caribbean island on May 14 and 15 to have a meeting with Prime Minister Denzil Douglas.
Ablonczy is now in Bahamas, but later she will visit Saint Kitts & Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda on May 15, Dominica on May 15 and 16, Saint Lucia (16-17), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (May 17) and Grenada (17-18).
During her visit the Canadian official will meet national leaders, ministers and officials from the aforementioned governments to discuss the economic situation and security in the Caribbean and the paths to deepen the bilateral relations.
Ablonczy has scheduled to meet representatives of Caribbean and Canadian enterprises, to identify new chances to strengthen the links in the private sector between Canada and the Caribbean.
Ablonczy said Canada shares a special relation, full of history and cooperation with the Caribbean and the government of Canada is committed to deepen these links.
