Incredible it took them this long to come home.

??? Was it the passengers??
JT
Hillary
The crew found cocaine in bags and reported it to police but then were themselves detained since then
Trudeau owns those bags
@Moe Moe They were for Jerry Dias president of unifor.
He is entitled to a huge amount of pay
Dear lord, next time mind one’s business .🙏.
We were detained in the D.R. last January on a Swoop Airlines flight which was continuing on to Cayo Coco. No explaination.
What? Why ?
keep in mind the Dominican Republic is like the landfill of the world
great going on vacation in a 3rd world country. No thanks
poor folks !!
Pray for your safe return to your family… stay strong!
I just don’t understand, why this so-called reporter didn’t ask about the reasons or alleged crimes. The role of reporters is not to be nice. Polite? Definitely.
i agree completely but i’m hoping in this case they’re waiting until they actually get out of the country before they talk about it.
1:20 It’s inferred the crew were detained as suspects for the bags of illicit substances that were found. However, according to the captain they received no additional information and were treated as “guilty ’til proven innocent.” I assume they went over the reasons or alleged crimes in full length newspaper articles.
Didn’t PM Trudeau vacation in the DR recently? Am I mistaken?
He was and it’s he who should be detained.
just trying to disuade other crews from looking for/reporting smuggled contraband
Or carrying it.
Let’s boycott the DR with our tourist dollars. Come to beautiful Jamaica 🇯🇲.
Indeed. We have our problems out there in Jamaica but, would not penalize those who’ve reported contrabands.
if the authorities didnt appreciated the help, the authorities were probably involved🤔
Yeah I’ll be sure to go to the D.R. to spend my tourist dollars 👍😀👍
Not!😒
Trying to do the right thing in corrupt places is apparently extremely dangerous. Just terrible, and terrifying!
Welcome home. Being held in prison for drug trafficking in a foreign land for months is certainly terrifying.
🌿🤲
now we need an explanation from the authorities. who dropped the ball.
Which company was Robert working for, will he be fully compensated by them, did they go to bat for him to get he and the crew released? Did the Canadian government do anything other than talk, like with the 2 Michaels incident? Should Robert and his crew be suing the Dominican Republic? And finally should we as Canadians be warned more fully of the danger of travelling to these “banana republics”? So many unanswered questions. Advice to Robert and his company and crew; find a competent lawyer.
