    1. @Try this That is simply false. I’m middle class and don’t receive any of those. In fact seeing as you run a business your tax rate is around 15% general corporate, if you claim the small business reduction you’re down to 9%. However, middleclass will pay between 28-38% $100,000 will cost you around $35,000 with little to no write offs to offset that amount.

    2. @callers420 you tell me how to run a business where you can pay employees $50 an hour plus benefits and pension and I’ll go do it.

    3. @John Wace 12.5% is corporate tax rate but it’s irrelevant because you can’t use that income for personal expenses. I pay the same taxes as everyone else personally.

    4. @ransom182 not if it’s something you need to survive and work. Still need heat and light also need to get to work. So how do we use less quit work and get Government housing?

    5. @Try this Not income tax, plus you can write off items needed for your business whereas others cannot.

  1. He is absolutely right!!!!What will happen when carbon tax goes up to $170/tonne in 2030?????It is $65/tonne now, how much is gas gonna cost when it will go up to $170/tonne.This guy is insane, we need to get rid of him today, or Canada is done!!!!!!!!

  2. It didn’t take a genius to know that this would result in a worse economy and higher costs that would only be passed on to consumers. Just like transitioning from gas to electricity will only drive up the cost of electricity as the demand increases. Will the infrastructure be in place to support that?

    1. Unfortunately there wasn’t a genius in the room at the time 🤣 the grid will catch up, but only after you starve enough to drive demand into crisis territory..

  3. Eg. we live in the age of web based meetings but the prime minister insists on flying a jet with an entourage for a 20 min ride in Ontario.

  4. He literally said it’s a wealth redistribution scheme. Not a single word about emission targets never being met, it’s a tax grab.

    1. @Gail Florence Yes, one guy taking a plane should get pistol whipped over climate change. 😂

  5. Ya and the billions of our money going elsewhere but Canadians smh we are working to pay tax not live anymore

  6. all i see is this carbon tax doing is causing job loss by the thousands, and more trips to the food bank, if they dont run out

  7. Funny how trudeau completely dismisses and ignores everything the PBO says when it doesn’t agree with him. I thought trudeau was all about listening to “the experts”.

  8. Well I’m happy to pay a tiny bit more for a planet that we can continue to survive on; thanks Trudeau, now I can breathe easy! Also, wages should go up by 2030 as well meaning that we will all be able to easily afford this tiny tax. BTW this is exactly how we use Capitalism to fix the world!

  9. You will be poor, you will be cold, you will be hungry, and you will own nothing, but you will be happy 🙂

  10. Best part about it is when I fill my propane tank to heat the house I even get charged HST on the carbon tax.
    Thanks Justin
Getting charged tax on a tax.
    Atta boy
