The search is on here in Calgary for the killer of a Jamaican-born deejay, who was stabbed to death following an altercation earlier this week.
Calgary police say the dead man, known to friends as DJ Blacka Ranxx, got in to a fight with another man at the Penbrooke Meadows Community Association Monday night. He died later at a nearby hospital while the other man, believed to be the killer, remains on the lam.
The Jamaican community in Calgary is going to raise money to send Blacka’s body back to Jamaica, where he has children.
`Over 30 people have been interviewed in relation to this incident; however, police believe there are others who were in attendance who may have more information,` police said in a press release.
Ranxx is Calgary`s 14th homicide so far this year. Calgary Herald reports indicate Ranxx was set to be deported back to Jamaica in two weeks.
