The challenges are crime & violence but that is not the only challenge. We need to add corruption crisis, political instability, currency devaluation, rising inflation, supply chain crisis, increasing shipping costs, increasing poverty crisis, increasing homelessness, increasing rent crisis, increasing unemployment crisis, wage and salary crisis, increasing food prices, increasing energy prices, police crisis, missing persons crisis, health care crisis, educational crisis, elderly care crisis, mental health crisis, food security crisis, garbage collection crisis, water crisis, climate change crisis and a multitude of other crisis. They all need to be addressed.
Seems as if the job is much bigger than the ability of the leadership elected to handle the tasks at hand.

Unfortunately, the SOE’s only serve to delay the inevitable. These criminals will simply relocate and wait until it’s lifted. We cannot keep treating the symptoms while the underlying disease rages on! Social intervention is a start, but we need more reliable employment opportunities.
