Authorities arrested Thursday a 28-year-old criminal justice graduate student in the mysterious murders of four University of Idaho students that shook a small community that hadn’t reported a murder in five years.

Bryan Kohberger, a doctoral student at nearby Washington State University, was arrested in eastern Pennsylvania. The students – Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20 – were stabbed to death at a rental home near campus in Moscow, Idaho.

DNA evidence played a key role in identifying Kohberger as a suspect in the killings; authorities were able to match his DNA to genetic material recovered during the investigation, a law enforcement official said. In recent days, federal investigators had been watching Kohberger.

    1. @Matt Williams I agree that we need to stop supporting useless lives, but with his reported characteristics and lifetime coddled student attributes. ….Prison would be a fate worse than death.
Between the inmates, the guards or a hired hit, he probably won’t last long inside anyway.

    2. @PM Czapczara we can only hope. Lots of those dudes live full lives behind bars. Id rather just get rid of it.

    3. @Matt Williams ok….can we just cut him up real slow instead then, it would seem so much more appropriate.

    4. @PM Czapczara I could be convinced of letting the parents of the deceased taking turns with a knife.

    1. @Lucasart328 definitely agree. I do think he looks pretty tall so was thrown off by all the comments I’ve seen across multiple platforms that he’s only 5’8″ 😅 I’m thinking therea no way all the officers are that short!

    1. YOU ARE WRONG!!!
The internet told me all criminals are black… Sooo they must have the wrong guy!!!

  1. Ted Bundy Vibe… Completely.
He also “thinks” he’s the smartest person in the room.

    1. @Rachel Nyn not him another serial killer in jail he spoke to and idolized so much the killers daughter wonder if her father influenced Brian to murder or commit the perfect murder

    2. @AintFromRounHere … didn’t mean to make you mad… just bored and highly interested in this story. Just a quick observation.

  2. They can’t tell us a thing….meanwhile the news draws conclusions and forms opnions long before this man ever has his day in court.

    1. He left DNA at the crime scene. This is apparent from the statements released of the use of DNA genealogy used to hone in on him.
The PCA affidavit once released will provide more details, but finding his DNA at the crime scene is obviously a huge piece of evidence.

    2. @PM Czapczara this may be a dumb question but can they convict someone off of just dna found at the scene?

    3. @Sam Voegele I’m sure it’s been done. DNA is unique to an individual.
In this case, I’m guessing it’s not ALL they have, but it’s extraordinary if it got conclusively left at the crime scene. It puts him THERE.
I’m anxious to see the PCA affidavit after he’s back in Idaho, but the issue of his innocence has definitely progressed to ‘prime suspect’.

  3. To all the people saying he might not be the person who did it, if that were me under arrest being charged with a QUADRUPLE murder I’d be yelling and shouting I DID NOT DO THIS I AM INNOCENT blah blah blah just like lee Harvey Oswald did when he was arrested. I wouldn’t be just casually walking like that
