Let me get this straight….dogs can sniff-out covid, but scientists cannot isolate the virus?!
@E K ??????????? SENSIBLE PLE!!
@Gailina Fab sorry for The offence
it’s a scooby doo mystery huh!
isolate it yourself then smarty. All you can do is sit behind the screen, be ungrateful and teach experts their job. Go finish highschool
“dogs can sniff-out covid, but scientists cannot isolate the virus?!”
The virus has been isolated, what are you talking about?
Soon we’ll be getting sniffed for covid at the airport.
still better than getting an anal swab what a phallus shaped q-tip and the word “government” on said q-tip.
Now they can figure out if PCR tests work or not…
no need for that, it is 3-5% accurate.
The Washington Post states that multiple studies have found that drug-dogs have high error rates. Some analyses suggest the dogs are correct around 50 percent of the time. This places their accuracy as about the same as a coin toss.
And your going to use a 50/50 to diagnose patients so a bunch of false positives.
Still better than PCR tests…
@Christian Van Schepen
Yeah, I’d rather trust the doggy test. 🙂
@Christian Van Schepen much better than PCR test. we might be on to something
We’re still not afraid of oxygen or human contact.
Keep trying though.
Shame they can’t sniff out murderers.
Politicians ?
Pedophiles?
They’re all the same thing
If that’s true, expect Canadumbistan to start investing in dogs and their training in about 2 years from now.
Why not?
I can’t imagine the accuracy of this “test” being any worse than the current PCR testing.
Bingo
What are you talking about? Did you listen to some Facebook-esq nonsense stating that PCR testing for Covid isn’t accurate?
@Pokarot dork
Interesting. Cats can apparently smell tumour cells. Dogs can smell COVID. Great animals.
Welcome to the information age.
Expect a multi-million dollar contract to a Quebec company for the supply of Covid sniffing dogs.
My dog can already do that. You just wrap the sample you want him to id as positive in bacon and BANG! He’ll find it every time!
“They must find it hard to take Truth for authority who have so long mistaken Authority for Truth” G. Massey
Oooooh so covid has a distinct smell? Woooooow how cool
This is getting way out of hand
several hormones cause your body to leave many distinct smells recognized by dogs
what an absolute load.
We’ve known this for a year now
They already discovered this, literally last year. One of the nordic countries had done this.
Would the dog have to quarantine himself after each detection?
This is just funnier 🤣
