@Diego Montoya You can’t really disentangle the two concepts. Good journalism involves knowing what a doctor is simply telling the facts rather than trying to arbitrarily contrive a reason to “disclose” unnecessary information.
@Books & Gaming I never social distanced or wore a mask. Was at Yellowstone with hundreds of tourists also, never caught the china virus. Maybe you should read books on health instead of the communist manifesto. Eating properly, vitamins and exercise will keep your immune system strong. @Gary Campbell I guess it depends on what your definition of a quality education is.
Public schools teachers are known to teach to pass the state test, yet there are many students that still struggle to pass it every year – despite years, up to a decade, of learning/trying via that system. Despite this, public schools students are also known to struggle in college due to poor study habits, time management skills, or not learning enough from HS (because certain things were not taught and/or understood properly). I attended private schools for 11 out of 12 years of my schooling, and I passed the state test on my first try. There is most definitely issues within the public school system.
Indoctrination as in teaching most of the population to be employees rather than entrepreneurs (i.e. teaching the student that companies or the Govt will take care of them with benefits – so they don’t have to worry about taxes, retirement savings, etc). Basically, public schools teach children to believe and trust in their system/Govt 100%, never to question or challenge them. This is evident regardless of location because of the structure and lesson plans of public education. (And then when whistleblowers point out problems with the system, they are “traitors” or unpatriotic and commonly silenced, discredited, or thrown in jail..)
A child is indirectly led to believe that laws, for example, are in place for their best interest and safety rather than the underlying driving force of capitalism (money saved and money made > everything else); that’s why, out of other developed nations for example, we pay the highest prices for healthcare because… it’s a for-profit business model.
The reason why public school students, for example, do not learn money management is because the Govt does not allow it (but they do learn very limited, handpicked pieces of history revolving around the US and Govt including voting). In contrast, I learned how to balance a check book, write a check, raise money for a cause, and create a marketable product in private schools. I’ve uncovered multiple flaws and concerns with American culture and Govt by discovering how deep politics run in unrelated fields such as science as well as studying the structures/operations or cultures of other countries.
One example is the total support of the growth and development of children due to the realization that the health of the economy depends on them in the future – as adults around them eventually must age out of the workforce while the requirement of basic needs for survival of these adults still exist; Sweden residents happily pay higher taxes to provide benefits to children while the US continues to slash education funding and/or create too expensive of an environment to raise children in (so new birth rates have dropped tremendously as a result).
It is not difficult to see how much more other countries support their citizens.. and how much we are struggling with the payout of social security / Medicaid / retirement insurance, or even VA benefits, here to conclude that something is not quite right..

I don’t know how long it’s been since you’ve gone to public school, but at least 8/10 are fkn horrible. I still got decent grades but I had to learn myself from the internet like most people do. Teachers as a common work position in general are obsolete and they don’t like it, hence the unions
