Well, you don’t hear Vlad denying it. And considering the way the top boys in Russia behave, with people being pushed out of windows and poisoned, or long term incarceration without proper trials…you get the feeling these guys aren’t much different in their mentality than gangsters. I think it comes from a gang run bureaucracy that allows too much underhanded dealings and a black market. Honesty is not encouraged in that kind of society. You can see the low level behavior in the Russian troops in Ukraine. Rapes and civilians being murdered.

Pointless. Russia has already achieved it’s goals. It has annexed the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine it wanted. The conflict is now a defensive one against the west and Ukraines attempts to reclaim these areas. This has failed and they will never get these regions back.
