    1. @Now & Then I had a lawyer who was obligated under contract that after x amt of years, being good as I have been from the incident where nobody got hurt from a dui, that it would be expunged from my record.

I waited 2yrs as advised then contacted or “tried” to contact the young lawyer. He’d retired and quit law altogether during that time so as another, new lawyer explained, that was now null and void but he’d be happy to do it for $1200.

From that incident alone, I never drank again and it’s been over 10yrs. You can expunge the old records yourself, but can you also understand how to build a nuclear fusion reactor too? I mean, you can get the plans and instructions, but actually making it happen is something only somebody paid to understand that stuff can do with ease. What might take 10 days and 30hrs worth of phone calls they can do in 20 mins. Disgusting. It changed my life and after that, truly, NEVER trust ANY lawyer no matter how sweet they pretend to be. It’s an act.

    2. As a Retired Alochol and Drug Detox Nurse I have had many Judges, Lawyers, Executives , as well as other Professionals come in for Drug and Alcohol Addiction. There is No Cookie cutter Addict Profile.

    3. Atleast 15% of the general public are functioning drug addicts. Just because you’re clean doesn’t mean you should assume that for everyone.

    1. that prosecutor is makin about himself harping on the financials his condescending attitude letting AM ramble on he hasn’t done anything to prove AM pulled the trigger, yet imo

    2. I mean the small window of time in which AM wasn’t in the kennels for a (presumably, stranger) killer to figure out and kill his family is mighty small

  1. Has he ever said, you need to be out there finding who killed my family. If I were innocent, I would be saying that

    1. He has said it, but it doesn’t mean he’s innocent. Drug addicts are the best liers and think of everything to say to get a fix.

    2. AM is making this trial all about his so called drug addiction, not about his guilt or innocence as a murderer. It doesn’t matter if he is an addict, is he a murderer, regardless of the reason for it? ( which I think had more to do with lost money for other debts, not for drugs).

    3. Well if drug addiction storyline fails, he can always go back to the ‘people who were angry about the boat crash are after my family’ fantasy.

  2. But I also think if you get direct and say no, i’ve seen them come around and say well you didn’t put up a fuss which normal people that didn’t really do something would argue it I hope that made sense

    1. If I was accused of something I absolutely didn’t do (did you punch that random person), I wouldn’t feel the need to talk very much because I’m so confident the answer is NO. That’s all I need to say. I’d just look at the other person like huh?

    1. He habitually does the head nodding. It’s buying time. Trying to convince others to make one agreement. Studies show if another agrees w you on one thing, they’re more likely to do so again. That taken by itself w/o other signs doesn’t work in body language community but he has other tells that he’s under stress during responses. Hands cup over sex organs. Venting jacket… lateral part of body that autonomically needs air when under duress. His dry mouth is sympathetic nervous system. Anyone on stand can show these but his biggest tell is turning on/off emotions that usually take a couple minutes before erupting.

    1. It is astonishing to me that attorneys strung out on drugs is an open secret. I mean, what kind of parties does she attend?

  3. If a person gets emotional when they deny something then it indicates they are lying? Body language analysis seems flawed to me because it appears to assume that any person would behave the same in the same situation, e.g. that an innocent person would remain calm because they have nothing to fear. That does not seem like a great assessment here when he is accused of two murders.

  4. I think Waters did an excellent job. He understands Alex is a Narcissist and he is letting Alex continue talking so he will trip himself up.

    1. I think he is a clown. Letting alex talk to the jury so much. There is no guns, no gsr, no bloody clothes and a home field jury. I think he beats this charge

  5. I thought his lip smacking or whatever, making clicking noises with his mouth, was odd at the times it was happening.

  6. A father and husband whose had his wife and son slaughtered would be very persistent in finding the killers. He hasn’t been convincing in looking for the killers.

  7. What I didn’t buy was him not remembering details of the last time he saw and talked to his wife. He provides a lot of details in many other areas but not when he discusses the added detail that he has been excluded before. And yes he does not seem to have ever been upset about finding the people who committed the crime. He also switches from being smug to weeping. He has learned to be a good liar and I believe he is still lying.

  8. I lied to my family
I lied to my law partners
    I lied to clients
    I lied to investigators
    BUT you must believe me.

Going into the addiction also ties behavior to motive.

I am unimpressed with the lawyer on this panel whose professional ethics seems to be questionable in talking about lawyers she works with who are strung out on drugs…but does not state if she took steps with the bar association or law society about these peoples conduct. No, she has no credibility and isn’t worth the 15 minutes she tried to grab on CNN.

  9. The attorney might do well do do a little research into Alex’s current drug charge indictments. He’s more involved with drugs other than using.

  10. I cried for him.

The decadence in his life came down to living large, spending lavishly, becoming addicted to a point where he had to kill it all, Paul mainly, and because of Paul, Maggie, and because of it all, himself.; an honor killing of sorts.

Save Buster, the greater Murdaugh legacy and provide them with a chance to attempt to recover.

    Sad.

His forefathers sat in those chairs,
    dominated and ruled that courtroom.
Alex sat there whimpering and crying.

    Wise men said
    Strong men create good times,
    good times create weak men,
    weak men create tough times.

    So true!
