Because countries in Europe have at the highest a 62 per million per capita covid-19 death rate. The U.S.’s per capita death rate is well over 300. And the government is shutting down testing sites as fast as they shut down polling sites.

@fred rick Well I disagree with almost all of his policies. Some specific policies I don’t like I guess are his ban on immigration from some middle eastern countries, his tax cuts for the rich, the ICE detention centers, mostly the separation of children and their parents, and the inhumane conditions some of them are in. I honestly can’t think off the top of my head of anything he’s done I agree with. And that’s not to mention that I think he has an inflated ego, exhibits racist and sexist behavior, and treats women badly. He has if I remember right at least a dozen sexual harassment accusations from women who worked with him in the past or met him at some point. Overall I think he is a horrible person and an even worse president. Thank you for asking why I dislike Trump before judging me or anything, it’s hard to find respectful people on the internet nowadays.

@fred rick The immigration ban I was talking about was the one in I think early 2017 that banned immigration from seven middle eastern countries, and received a lot of backlash and was on the news for a week or so. As for ICE there was a program on NPR where they interviewed a social worker who worked with some of the 17 year olds who would be released from the detention centers once they turned 18. I’ll see if I can find it. Also while on the topic of ICE, the raids on those factories in Mississippi where they detained over 600 people late last year. I understand they were undocumented, but there was a more civilized way to do their job.
