Just f.y.i.,to counter some misinformation,Afghans were at peace for 50 years until Russia invaded in 1979. Until then,infant mortality was steadily declining while literacy steadily rose. Tourism was blossomiing and they were on the best of terms with the rest of the world. I’ve loved these people and their rich,ancient culture for 40 years. I hope to God they can attain peace,freedom and some degree of prosperity. They deserve it.
