Remember when the eco scientists were saying the reef has been bleached and was going to disappear?
The bleaching occurred in 2016, 2017 and 2020, and it’s caused by periods of high temperature called a marine heatwave. Doesn’t mean that it’s all bad, but it also doesn’t mean that it’s all better from here on out. We still got tons of plastic in the ocean, we still need to deal with heavy polluters
