2020 presidential candidate Tom Steyer is close to qualifying for next 2020 debate. In a wide-ranging interview, the billionaire candidate responds to past investments in fossil fuels and a migrant detention company. Steyer also speaks out against critics attacking him for 'buying' his way into the race. Steyer also vows to release his tax returns before the September debate if he qualifies.

Billionaire 2020 Dem: Unlike Trump, I'll Release My Tax Returns | The Beat With Ari Melber | MSNBC
How many chaotic events does trump throw in front of releasing his tax returns…. 😔
catalinacurio we’re still waiting for him to release them.
It is never ending….until he is busted.
penna please send me your tax returns
Of course they’ll release their financial records. WHY WOULDN’T THEY? That’s Leadership 101 if your want your constituents to trust you. (Let the strawman ‘whataboutisms’ commence…)
no just nothing to hide!
Simple as that!COCO
Brian C that’s what honest people do when they have nothing to hide.
@VERSHON JONES Agreed. When citizens see you have nothing to hide, and you have documented proof of legitimate financial transactions, it’s a trust-builder. It always comes back to trust.
@Baxter Powel ^^^
BUT BUT BUT Benghazi! /s
no more billionaires for the presidency. they think they know everything.
@Trumprules Clintondrools lol. Tell your buddy to release his tax refunds.
THEY DO!!!
better than community organizers
@Bjorn Santens he earned them
Yeah I’m interested a billionaire to fight a fake billionaire if hes for real
do a little research on their backgrounds Trump was had many red flags, the blue collar worker did not fact check him
@Bugsea yeah hes the fake billionaire trump is a con man but I will listen to the real billionaire see what happens
No more “private” prisons.
Public Finance for campaign…CORPORATION ARE NOT PEOPLE!
corporations now elect the president and that is fascism
2:08 Bernie Sanders had a good point there.
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/452242-sanders-on-steyers-2020-bid-tired-of-seeing-billionaires-trying-to-buy And thinks Steyer is a spoiled jerk.
Wtf was up with that? Lol we hear Bernie talking then all we see is whats his name.
Please drop out Tom. I can’t even watch this guy anymore.
No, Tom, you are very much mistaken. Sen. Sanders has been bringing the message of eliminating the poison intrusion of Big $ upon our elections/govt. for quite some time. Moreover, there are quality groups of everyday people working on this, once again, for quite some time, as well as other genuine Representatives of the People who are not bought off/sold out or clueless. While his work with the Need to Impeach site is needed, he does not have enough or broad enough experience to serve as our next POTUS, like many others in the current field. Sanders, Warren, Gabbard all excellent, dedicated to the People, our nation, the greater good of the world, and know how to get it done.
The ppl who gave the donations each made up their own mind.
He’s trying to run on Bernie Sanders’ platform.
Let me get this straight……….a billionaire is running on Bernie’s platform? Do you know what Bernie’s platform is? You might want to Google that.
stopthecrazyguy he’s trying to copy Bernie. That much is apparent.
Just what we need , another rich white man to run against trump.. who even is this guy ? like.. wtf really..
No more billionaires, let politicians fight political fights.
Being rich doesn’t automatically qualify you for a political office….. I’d rather have a grass roots salt of the Earth president.
In that case, vote Trump 2020. #walkaway
Ari Melber is VERY underrated and arguably one of the best interviewers.
It is highly likely that if we saw an honest balance sheet of Trump’s finances his debts would be much greater than his assets.
@Tom Steyer: Bernie Sanders is already speaking to and for voters. Bye Felicia! You are not needed or wanted.
He’s got no chance. He says that he’s relatable but I don’t find him relatable at all.
Yeah good work Ari, no more bias/corrupt corporatists!
Ummm no dude.. I loved your impeachment commercials but umm drop out..
