Why is Taiwan always ignored? They responded perfectly. A democracy of 24 million with only 7 deaths.
They began monitoring all entries since the Mainland reported the very 1st case. It’s simple, Taiwan is a province of China, they’d always get the first hand information. They ordered mandatory, forced quarantines and everyone had to wear a 24/7 tracker. Any violator faces $10,000 fine.
However, recent waves of people who went back for Chinese New Year celebration, as well as some foreigners who couldn’t enter the Mainland, have brought in the virus again. They just *had an outbreak in Taoyuan and it’s pretty much out of control right now. Taiwan is largely ignored by western media because the West has been politicizing Taiwan to use it to attack China.
@Nelson Guzman It’s not free, there’s a fee albeit very low. Their universal healthcare works because Taiwan is tiny with roughly 23m people, and most people don’t abuse the system.
Taiwan was shutout , they don’t have to follow WHO protocol , and they live in peace , shame on us
