Bill De Blasio Wants To 'Tax The Hell' Out Of The Rich | MSNBC

  1. Chris aggressively questions de Blasio but not Ryan, Klobuchar, Delaney, and the other bland, no-substance, corporate centrists.

    1. De Blasio is a waste of time and space. I’m not saying the others are better, but De Blasio shouldn’t even be a participant. He’s the most incompetent, moronic and lazy douchedonkey candidate.

  2. I expect to receive 90% of Bill DeBlasio’s income and property. That’s fair, and constitutional.

    1. They need to start at 1% for the poorest and go up to 20% for the richest. Tie it in so that you can only raise the percentage across the board not any certain group. So if you want to raise the taxes of the top people to 25% you would have to raise the lowest amount to 6%. The problem now is there are far to many right offs. Far to many loop holes and ways for corporations to not pay taxes and far to many people who want more taxes because the new taxes will not effect them personally.

    1. My president run slogan would be. NO NO NO NO ,no taxes ,no social programs ,no fiat money, no useless wars

  3. And the moment you try that, the ultra-rich move their money offshore and catch a plane to Switzerland.

    1. You wouldn’t? Why stay and have their money taken to be given to the lowest among us. At this point, anyone earning over $100,000 should seriously consider opening an offshorr account; both to protect from taxes and as an escape for the economic fallout of Democratic policies.

    2. @Eric R. We hope it’s common sense but there are still people in & out of government who want to penalize the rich.

  4. Taxing the rich sounds good but we all know that’s just a ploy to pin the rich against the poor for votes. Trump has prove that relieving the burden of taxes on businesses is good for jobs and wages. If someone works hard and becomes rich , why should the government or me have my hands in their pockets. That goes to the same for the middle class. Why do democrats always want their grubbing hands in everyones pockets? If you work, you should be able to keep as much of it as possible. That’s the American dream. Democrats =high taxes period!

  5. Both nights of the debate they emphasized heavily on more illegal immigration. They also emphasized heavily on free healthcare for everyone including illegal immigrants. Not once did anyone bring up the cost of illegal immigration which now to this day cost the American taxpayer $159,413,985,516 this year so far. Yes that’s 159 billion. I guess these Democrats think money grows on trees or once again they want to reach into your pocket!

  6. People really seem to not understand basic economics. People are worried that the corporations and wealthy will leave. That is just simply not the case. Does anyone know how much it costs to move operations? This is why London is still European capital of finance – despite the fact of the instability in the region. It’s true that these wealthy will no longer make as much money. But, they will still have 97 percent of their wealth according to DeBlasio’s plan. And if 97 percent of the millions they’ll have won’t keep them in this country, good luck to them so that they can find a place where they’ll have the world’s largest economy to base their operations in.

Another thing: people are afraid that their money will be kept offshore. It already is! Right now, we have the lowest corporate tax rates historically and still have companies and people pay zero on offshore income. Why not crack down on these people? Why should they get preference over you or I who would go to jail for not paying our taxes.

I’m sick and tired of the fetishization of the wealthy. People need to wake up
