New York City Mayor and presidential candidate Bill de Blasio shares his views on education, healthcare, and on qualifying for the next Democratic debate. He says that the Democratic candidates should continue to get their messages out on social media as "you can go from being obscure to famous in 48 to 72 hours.”

Akela DeWolf dummy speak whit forked tongue. Shoud remove useless brain and eat brain , whit nice botter of fire water , like French Chardonnay.
@Denise Martel yea Moore was pretty dumb there…. )
Akela DeWolf ,,,if he was so horrible why is trump so jealous of him ,,,, maybe balancing the budget ,,,,creating Obama care for poor people ,,,,,eliminating ISIS. I just saw yesterday ,,,London has fallen ,,,,the scene toward the end when the president was captured by terrorist. Close to death he’s last words was his oath of office , trump would have said, ; you know some of those terrorist are good people .
@Akela DeWolf Why is it that every time Trump is criticized his supporters automatically deflect to a comment about Obama? If you had a legitimate defense of this administration you’d get a lot farther than bringing up an extremely popular president from the past. Deflection isn’t a legitimate strategy when trying to defend something.
@Elizabeth Sherman russian bias? )
All for more early childhood education programs! Tax dollars well spent!
Corruption is uniquely reprehensible in a democracy because it violates the system’s first principle, which we all learned back in the sunshiny days of elementary school: that the government exist to serve the public, not particular companies or individuals or even elected officials.
Bravo reccomendation
magnet schools have been a political carve out of special interests I personally watched school distinct bypass the state laws for equal access by creating a magnet school in an impoverished neighborhood then carved out special gifted students from the white section of town and sequestered them with special teachers and curriculum all the while the local neighborhood children remained in the crumbling remnants of he existing school district. On paper it looked marvelous we are going to open a magnet school in the poorest neighborhood, yet the poorest residents would not be able to equal access..
The solution:
Fully fund public schools and pay public teacheres a fair and equitible wage
This goes back to Reagan and the emergence of charter schools.
My kids are in magnet like you describe. Kids zoned for this school automatically go there, the rest of us have to apply and drive our kids there. To some it seems silly to drive to this school, but I value the diversity and programs there.
WHAT HAPPENED TO DEBLASIO. HE WENT FROM OBSCURE TO HATED!
Andrew Garcia: Bill De Blasio is Mayor of New York City, which a very difficult job.
@Peggy Trawick That’s not what guliani thought
In new york im am not lying it is illegal to have a ice cream in your back pocket on a Sunday but throwing water on police men isnt
@the questioner Yeah, that’s messed up. Smh
DO NOT GET RID OF THE ARTS, JUST GET RID OF THE CREEPS LERKING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE STUDENTS AND GRADUATES !
The 1619 project offers free materials to schools that might be an add-on to your efforts of promoting diversity. Teach the truth about history.
This is why I watch Rising on the Hill channel now. Wow.
Hahaha we’re all leaving in droves. I thought I was the only one
looking it up now

@david whitaker see you round there 👍🏾😊
In the 1970s I was part of the “Upward Bound” program. If not for that program, I would have never been prepare for college. Or been encouraged to understand the value of an education.
Brigitte Scott Operation Push and Junior Achievement.
If you want to break down barriers teach children the truth about history. Pay teachers.
Has anyone seen our mayor? I haven’t.
I’m tire of MSNBC pretending like they don’t understand med4all or believe that we can’t pay for it (as one of the richest countries on the planet) yet other countries have made due on the same program with much less. The establishment gaslighting is shameless.
America seems behind the times in education and healthcare compared to Canada .Which has all those things in place already.
From a farmers point of view. Early education is like adequate fertilizer on your crop. If the garden is hungry your crop will be too.
Food for the body, mind and soul are the most valuable investments made in every crops life. People are another crop and food is cheap here . We can do that. Biggly
What a beautiful comment. From a preschool teacher, thanks so much for saying that. Not enough people recognize the importance of early education.
So big money is powerful, but collectively we could have as much power as big money?
Clown vs clown
Can someone please tell me the name of one person that went from obscurity to fame because of “social” media?
Bill deBlasio should stay in NY and try to fix his state before he takes on the ruining the entire country. We have enough problems with the current White House invator
Did Deblasio change his name from Warren Wilhelm so he couldn’t be tied to that unfortunate “incident” years ago??
Can’t wait to see Morning Joke’s face when Trump wins next year.
