Well that resolved itself quickly. Mr. Guinness here deleted his comment as soon as I called him out. It was something about Europe having a new strategic direction and not welcoming us back as their “leader” again or some such nonsense. Typical troll division tactics.
It’s wise for the German and French leaders to be optimistic but cautious about the US. Even with the best of intention, strategy and policy by the Biden administration, the US is one seriously troubled country: social injustice, economic devastation, joblessness, severe weather, extremist groups, not to mention COVID-19 and the struggling vaccine rollout. Such wide-ranging domestic troubles will continue to impact, in one way or another, international relations.
You forgot to mention the tens of thousands of illegals crossing the southern border forming tent camps in major cities.
