Good. No one, regardless of gender, race, religion should be prohibited from serving. If they wish to serve, then no one should be denied.

@Sergiu Stanciu What are you trying to say ?. The military doesn’t allow people with physical or mental disabilities to deploy. The rules now state that if they completed their surgery transition they can be eligible to enlist. For one most trans haven’t completed their transition, and for two it doesn’t mean the military is going to allow people who can’t pass the appropriate psychological and physical evaluations to enlist and deploy. If someone completed their surgery and passed all the evaluations no reason why they shouldn’t be allowed to enlist.
@Sergiu Stanciu Russians used females as snipers in world war 2. Russia is arguably the reason we won that war. So explain again why allowing females in service is going doom a country ?. The Russian female snipers from the old wars are known to be some really talented snipers.
As a Veteran, I would serve with anyone who volunteered. Regardless of their sexual orientation.
@Fake Name Virtue is certainly subjective (because you may reject that which I admire) but then what does that say about virtue signalling accusations of virtue signalling? Almost any expression of opinion becomes open to this type of weak dismissal. So if Trump bans trans people from the military I could accuse him of virtue signalling (towards evangelicals for example) but that doesn’t really make a persuasive argument for allowing trans people to serve. And, more to the point, it doesn’t really prove that it’s a bad Idea. I mean… What if he gave money to charity and I accused him of virtue signalling? Should he take his donation back in order to redeem himself? Or should I focus on the action (and its result) rather than the motive?

The comments here highlight the fact that the left is completely misinformed on many of these topics. Trump didn’t ban transgenders in the Military. He put an end to allowing Transgenders to seek gender reassignment therapy while in the military. Basically, like many medical conditions, we can not have people serving where their medical status will interfere with their ability to serve. The agreement reached allowed any transgenders prior to the agreement to continue to receive medical treatment for gender reassignment. Anyone after the agreement had to serve out their contract as the gender they enlisted as.
The only thing Biden is changing is the ability to have gender reassignment paid for by the tax payers. Not the ability of transgenders to serve in our military. The way these issues are framed by the media is completely misleading but I guess it resonates well with people that have Trump derangement syndrome.
