Then look at their active efforts to disenfranchise voters and you realized that they’re also anti-democracy. They are an authoritarian party.
I’m a conservative with some liberal social leanings. I own a gun man. I could never vote Republican again at any level because they are such a danger to our Democratic Republic.
98% of the Republican party National leadership has shown they no longer respect the rule of law.
There are still a few good Republicans like Hogan who Democrats will vote for. But in my view, they should leave the Republican Party.
Only about 10% of Democrats have a problem. The rot is not nearly as deep. They’re not openly Criminal.
They don’t lie to you and tell you things are safe while they are secretly selling stock and telling wealthy donors that things are dangerous.

Of course we do offer more affordable healthcare for more Americans, we offer better access to higher education, an infrastructure plan that will help schools, build roads, extend high speed internet to every household in America, build more railroads and airports and port facilities. The democrats will balance the budget through tax reform, secure the southern border with technology rather then a wall, reform immigration to be more fair and prevent the exploitation of human beings. And then there’s the normal stuff like governing with an actual foreign policy, having an actual state department, making decisions based on expert recommendations and not withdrawing from a battlefield and leaving our allies to die. Doing their actual job during a crisis, like say a pandemic or a hurricane! Maintaining the international legal system by helping to enforce international laws; so sanctioning Russia until they leave Crimea. Which brings us to protecting our elections from foreign interference. Fixing the Supreme Court of the US(by removing Trump’s judges or packing the court), eliminating Gerrymandering entirely by having a computer draw the districts, have auto registration for all Americans over 18 so that everyone can vote, make PR a state, as well as Washington DC, and eliminate the electoral college(or make it work the way it was supposed to).
In short democrats will rebuild this country, help the American people to gain access to healthcare and education and faster internet. Protect the American people at home and their interests abroad, strengthen the western alliance, reform taxes and immigration and balance the budget. And they will act like professionals the whole time.
@Tidbit 1. Affordable healthcare is beyond the reach of affordability, 30 million adults can’t afford the Dem plan, more in the future won’t be able to afford it due to economic downturn caused by the pandemic.
2. People need access to education in trades more than they need access to higher education, the market is saturated with Phds, there’s a severe shortage of people with training in trades, improving access to that will lift more people out of poverty.
3. Schools is a state matter, the federal government has very little influence over how they operate.
4. Infrastructure expansion.
This will increase fossil fuel consumption dramatically and this means that the US will have to engage in more warfare for resources abroad, good luck with that, nevermind the effects on the temperature globally and the detrimental effects that will cause in the longterm.
5. Tax reform!!! I suggest funding the IRS first before anybody starts launching over ambitious legislation that the IRS cannot implement effectively(the IRS systems still run on floppy disc).
6. Secure the border with technology such as armed drones, I’m sure this move will be popular with the Democratic base and before you say no that won’t happen, there are only three ways to secure a border, with a barrier, with the threat of lethal force and with a combination of both.
7. Reform immigration to be more fair?
You’ll have to define what the Dems consider fair before any meaningful discussion can be had, importing people to compete in the lower income end of the labor market will not win elections and it will ensure that millions of US citizens will be trapped in perpetual poverty.
8. Foreign policy, the former administration had a foreign policy that increased the number of wars from two to seven, the present one reduced the number of wars from seven to four.
In the eyes of the franchise that foreign policy is superior to a return to the policies of the past.
9. Sanctioning of nations due to these nations violating international law, nations that should be sanctioned as per the standard you advocate for(illegal occupation of another nation or territory of another nation).
Russia, China, The US, Saudi Arabia, France, Britain, Turkey, Burma, India, Iran, Indonesia, Angola, Rwanda, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco etc…
10. Largest amount of inference in US election by another nation, the winner is The United Kingdom, Russia is way way down the list with a lot of other nations ahead of it.
Securing elections against foreign interference, you’ll just have to ask both parties to stop accepting bribes from foreign powers.

11. Impeaching a supreme court justice is as hard if not harder than impeaching a president.
It also sets a bad precedent to do so frivolously, it has to be rock solid or it will become the norm.
So that’s utterly unrealistic.
12. Both parties gerrymander in order to keep their leadership in safe districts and neither party have any interest in making the ability vote more accesible to the franchise because the largest group in the electorate are independents who would be extremely unlike to vote for either party if the vote was made easier to exercise.
13. PR a state, good idea, it could have happened during the 110th and 111th congress but the Dems choose not to do it because corporations who exploit cheap PR labor bribed them not to do it.
In short the Democrats desire to take power from the Republicans because they want their turn at the trough.

Why shouldn’t the administration reflect the demographics of the country? Are you saying that there are no women of color who should be in consideration? Do you think there is a white man more qualified than the unknown potential nominee?
In my opinion, the entire field of Democratic candidates should have positions in the administration.
I once thought Ms Abrams was a good candidate but I didn’t like her more or less lobbying for the job. Now, I would prefer Kamala Harris. My first choice would be Elizabeth Warren but it’s HIS CHOICE and we’ll approve or disapprove in November but it shouldn’t be about whether he or she is black or not, it should be the Biden Team, period.
