In a fair election everyones vote should count equally…you agree with me there right? The electoral college gives votes to States, not the people. An American who lives in a highly populated state, their vote counts for less than in the less densely populated states.
So you might say…well the electoral college makes sure the little states get there fair share and makes sure presidential candidates visit all those small states and give them as much attention as the big ones…well if thats the point than it has failed miserably. They all go to Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio..
The electoral college makes it like this…as long as a candidate winds just over 50% of the popular vote in a state, he wins all the electoral votes…that means winning by millions of citizens votes is no better than winning by 1 vote. So candidates are safe to campaign in states where they pull in big margins.
Just because the politicians thought of a process 200 years ago…doesnt mean it is correct and fair in todays world.. Thats why there are amendments.

Early voting: Tuesday 10/ 13 to Friday 10/30.
Election day: Tuesday 11/ 03/ 20.
Each State may have a slightly different schedule.
( Some States already started their early voting).
The point is, we have plenty of time to get to the polls to vote.
Don’t wait till the Election day since it will be crowded and long lines.

My ballot will be mailed to me in three days. I’ll take a couple days to fill it in, voter information pamphlet in hand, then pop it in a mailbox, just as I’ve done for the last 22 years. Not that it will matter much. I voted for Hillary last time, but my state is so blue it was a forgone conclusion here. The largest force causing voter apathy is the Electoral College. When you live in a solidly blue of red state, you feel your vote is unimportant. And with three million more people choosing Hillary, yet being stuck with Trump, it is obvious it is antidemocratic.
