The average cost of an abortion is roughly $750 (it’s often cheaper in the first trimester but let’s keep this estimate high for the sake of this example). That makes $459,539,250 per year spent on abortions. The US has spent an average of $54,000,000,000 per year on the war in Afghanistan between 2001 and 2019 (source: The Balance, Forbes/Statista). Therefore abortions wouldn’t eat up that much (0.77%) of this hypothetical reallocated budget.
This is a crying shame, a pathetic happening, a catastrophe unfolding…
