@Bryan That’s not exactly what Memorial Day is for. Not to mention, plenty of Northern Democrats fought on the side of the Union and died serving our country during the civil war. In addition, everyone with a decent knowledge of the last 50+ years of U.S. history knows that the remainder of the openly racist/anti-civil rights faction of the Democratic Party left and joined the GOP after President L.B.J. signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965. Which in no small part is why the GOP was able to become the dominant political party in most Southern states by the 1980s. Trying to claim some sort of patriotic or moral authority by reminding people of a version of the Democratic Party that doesn’t exist anymore is at best asinine, but at worst it’s willfully ignorant. Therefore, I suggest you keep fake apolitical Memorial Day wishes like this to yourself.

Giving TX legislators the power to overturn an election!!! That is what these “Election Integrity” laws being passed are about. The Republicans want the ability to decide who does and doesn’t win. They want the ability to have the TX Legislation to decide winners of elections.
Which is a violation of the Constitution. So even just proposing this law should have them brought up on charges.
This is not just targeted at Black and Latinos. It’s about all of us. That needs to be emphasized.
