Best Contrast To Trump Is Someone Like Me: Sen. Amy Klobuchar | Morning Joe | MSNBC
Amy’s entire message is about how she is from the Midwest, female and basically a Republican. YAY! Color me excited.

No, she is a genuine Democrat. She’s for affordable college, a decent minimum wage, and a healthcare public option. I’ve looked at her policy proposals since she first entered the race, and she has the best ones. It’s a shame she isn’t pulling in more money. But, she seems frugal enough to accomplish things on a budget. That’s a quality I’d like to see in our next president.
If Donald Trump is a right wing extremist in terms of his rhetoric and his policy, then a so-called moderate democrat and centrist like Klobuchar, by definition, cannot be the best contrast to Trump. Maybe in terms of integrity since Trump is an amoral con man and womanizer, but the contrast to a neo fascist wouldn’t only be someone of integrity, but someone who is truly of the left. Someone who advocates for social democracy and social justice. Someone who wants to take money and power out of wall street and put it back into the hands of regular working people. I believe there is a candidate in the race who has a long history of representing those positions even against the wave of a decades long rightward shift of both parties.
