What about the attempts by Facebook to make you join Facebook? I attempted to send feedback to Pluto TV yesterday and everything was going well and when I attempted to send it I was told that I had to have a Facebook account even though Pluto TV is on YouTube. I have no interest in joining Facebook and do not care to give them my personal information including my Gmail account so it seems that I was being held hostage just for trying to send feedback to make Pluto TV better.
Don’t feel bad they did the same to me.I was playing a game they wanted wanted me to join Facebook.I am going to delete my game.stay safe.😷✌
Preach! I hate it when I’m required by a website to have a Facebook account. I leave that website immediately.
use a potato phone to make fakebook
They blame parlor but 80% of communications with the Capitol Hill riots were from Facebook
Don’t forget YOUTUBE.
@Doug Ohaver also antifa soros phones.
Facebook not only uses information from your activity on Facebook and its related products like Instagram to target you with ads, but the company also relies on data from third-party websites to do this.
Everything can be hijacked by corrupt politicians. Trump’s guy DeJoy is basically destroying the USPS for private industry friends’ benefit. He couldn’t care less about the public good.
What does Trump have to gain from destroying the post office?
I think that social media executives did have a big role in extremism and misinformation.
Media executives ARE responsible. Period.
They rate movies why can’t we get a little Icon that says entertainment news or editors/opinion on news storys also mark accredited news stations or sites it really is a easy fix I know what I’m going to get with a XXX movie and a E movie please most of ppl I know don’t know who is actually news or is it entertainment like fox
FB should just get rid of news
Life is much better without Facebook and Twitter.
Yup.
The impact was the mindfucking of millions.
MSNBC is doing a story on disinformation?!? That is like a paper on business ethics by Bernie Madoff!
fox news and (R) radio does it all day, everyday. Like shouting “FIRE” in a crowded theater, should be illegal.
And yet they still tell more truth than CNN and MSNBC combined
Why aren’t news media held responsible as well???
Require Fox to post disclaimer that their stories are for entertainment purposes only.
Do you require CNN and MSNBC too?
You love social media giants this much? Way to attempt to shift the conversation away from the subject. How do you feel about these dudes?
The biggest conspiracy theories in history were from CNN and MSNBC that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to win the 2016 election we know how that turned out
Simple solution, “Truth in Media” Act 2021.
Any media company that publishes or allows to be published a known falsehood or lie, gets fined $100,000 per day while that falsehood/lie remains available to the public on their site.
Publish what you like, but once something has been shown to be a lie, it MUST be removed immediately or the company pays the price.
Nice
Waste of time this “harsh discussion”. All corrupt, all sold their soul a long time ago.
1. Opt out of personalized ads 2. Turn off location tracking 3. Disable microphone 4.Use a VPN. 5. Fight Facebook
All three have much to answer for. They should have their businesses seized.
He’s an android for sure. No real human looks like that.
Question for Peter Welsh: Wasn’t Ronald Dump in violation of Twitter Terms of Service? Therefore, Twitter banned him, not Jack Dorsey.
After social media is fixed, then get certain network news to broadcast only facts. A lot of misinformation that was being shared came from specific news stations.
Common sense: “Treat the disease, not the symptom.”
USA: “What? Talk english please!”
