This is just beautiful! And they kind of resemble dolphins..
Ik they so cuuutte
Because they are actually dolphins rather than whales in terms of taxonomy.
@Ozgur Budak Killer Whales too. All such beautiful animals.
They are ib the same family, and they are both toothed whales
They’re basically the same animal
taking whales and dolphins from the wild and then caging them for any reason should be outlawed on every continent. The people that do it make me sick.
Nat Calverley I knew it would be. 😂 something for you to read… https://philosophy.stackexchange.com/questions/24622/what-fallacy-dismisses-problems-by-presenting-bigger-problems
Why would it make you sick? A lot of aquariums take great care of their animals. Not to mention the animal in the video is also caged it’s just a cage that was built in the wild
Nat Calverley it is possible to worry about more than one group of people or animal at the same time.
There r some places that do it to protect them. Ppl poach animals and destroy their habitats and it’s terrible. Others rescue from captivity where they’re sold as pets, and must remain in cages because they can’t be reintroduced into the wild.
You realise that those who are free are hunted relentlessly by Asians?
Looks like they’re having a whale of a good time
I hate and love you at the same time
I can hear the haters whaling
Whale when you put it like that imagine all the tails they’ll tell!
I love this comment section!
bad pun But YES 😀
Poor things, life will be better now.
Connor McCormick
Of course except of the Greenland shark.
Kasper Kjærsgaard HECK I forgot about the Greenland shark
@Kasper Kjærsgaard i think greenland sharks are too slow or dont even bother trying to eat a beluga
@The True Crusader
I think that you’re right 😁
Alternative Facts Survivor 🤣
So now they need to go rescue the belugas from Seaworld and then they need to make a bigger sanctuary for orcas/killer whales and then rescuse those from seaworld and other marine parks that house thouse animals. They have feelings too.
@Sousa Teuzii I’m a Boomer.
@The Truth Hurts lol
The Truth Hurts sure, Zoomer.
@Cha Sawa Nakamura Jeung you are probably a zoomer too 🙂 dont insult your own generation
@Cha Sawa Nakamura Jeung I’m 53 years old. That makes me a Boomer.
I would love to see them do this with the killer whales from seaworld. But I want them to do the reasearch and do it right. I feel like they rushed it with Keiko because they were under pressure from the fans of the Free Willy movie.
EXACTLY
They ALL Need to be FREE
Right on, a captive animal for so long needs to adjust before they are even released.
He was also released alone…. and whales like us are social creatures and the only social interactions he was able to have during his rehabilitation was with people.
I think you forget he actually got to live with a pod for some months, but as he was so used to humans he would usually go near boats and fisherman villages, he got some interactions with other orcas, but as his instincts weren’t the same as theirs he couldn’t completely be part of a pod. It would have worked out if one or two other rescued orcas where with him that way they would’ve being able to make their on pod and live together , but unfortunately he had to die living in two different worlds
It would be great if they had facilities like this for dolphins and orcas as well. they are treated so cruelly in captivity.
bubba if your calling her a boomer, what about you? Your sitting on your bed saying this and so am I? You have done nothing and so have I. What have you done? HUH? speak?!
Scutox if your calling her a boomer, what about you? Your sitting on your bed saying this and so am I? You have done nothing and so have I. What have you done? HUH? speak?!
@Scutox hush kid
Every journey starts with a single footstep. This is one step on that journey. Maybe others are opening for dolphins and orcas that we don’t know about.
these replies smh
Awww…he was tearing up at the end. It really is an incredible new life they’re offering these whales. I wonder how many whales they are going to rescue.
Animals aren’t on the earth for our entertainment
Mr. Guppy what about eating animals
JL MYIK What are WE here for?
Their presence and safety in the wild are our entertainments.
They are however, on our earth. So we might as well look after them whilst taking joy in both the fact that they’re so amazing, and they provide us with so much including food.
lots andlots I mean yes they are in a way, I eat meat and I feel like that’s just the way they did it and I can’t really ever think about stopping it. Although I don’t eat meat every day, just like twice a week
I feel rather stupid, when they where lifting the whales in the stretcher I was think, “but arnt they about to die without water” totally forgetting they are indeed, whales
whales are mammals but i think the same too
Nope. Whales are mammals, they breathe the same way we do.
@Ewan Bird even if you keep something wet on land doesnt mean itll survive however they arent out for hours. Altho maybe thats just the sea life as big as orcas or bigger. Can keep them wet on land and they can breathe but too long and their own weight will kill them.
Whales and dolphins can’t stay very long out of the water actually. Their organs “float” when they’re in the water, but once out the animals suffacate from their own weight. They can also overheat. When travelling long distances (like the plane) they’re put into a small pool to avoid that
@LaumiRez
Also true.
I’m so happy I live in Iceland and I got to see them they are so cute and one was playing with something and she looked so happy 😃
Horrible that we do this to Gods creatures. Keeping them prison for $$$$
@Seulgi bear the brain analogy isn’t good because the human body has been dissected a million times we know what we have lmao
@Rodney~Łamar it is just a small sample, so that he is not too dizzy thinking about the truth. because to understand what I’m discussing is actually a bit complicated, so I just find an easy example, because he himself still doesn’t know about the basics, how do I give a real example?
@Seulgi bear idk i guess I wouldvevsaid air you can’t feel it you can’t touch it people tell you its there but no way to know for yourself but you still breathing
@Rodney~Łamar nice , dude. Unfortunately, he had given up on understanding all of it
@Baltazar Sant Ah yes religion causes “discord”.
From what I’m seeing they are still enclosed in a small area?
i was so confused, still am, and wondered why no other comments are like yours lol
Most likely because the whales have been performing all their life if they are released to the wild right away they wouldn’t be able to survive. So they’re going to observe them and train them in a more natural setting before releasing them completely.
no, those docks are only for the people to get around the whales have access to the whole bay which is 32,000 sqm. https://www.merlinentertainments.biz/newsroom/news-releases/2020/beluga-whales-prepare-for-sanctuary-release/
They show you the cordoned off edge of the bay when they talk about it. A row of white ball floats.
They look so happy being transported… it’s like they know they are in safe hands and going to a better place. I appreciate how dumb that might sound but Animals can sense emotions of the people around them.
Any of these whales are smarter than Democrats
Than any politician*
Love your name Generic
White House thank you 😊
Imagine bringing politics into this, politics doesnt have to be apart of everything
So everybody is talking about the small space they’re in, But what about how they are literally the cutest animals in the sea?
This is only temporary, they have to get used to the climate and water. Then they’ll be moved to a much larger area.
It’s more important to talk about the small space their in. Obviously everyone knows they’re adorable.
sad thresher shark noises
The area that they’re kept in is an acclimation/observation tank, and is temporary so that the vets on staff can make sure that the girls are healthy and getting used to the environment they have been introduced to before being given access to the rest of the bay that the tank is connected to.
Meme Train It’s like a big flubby white dolphin
I’m glad they aren’t performing anymore, it’s too bad they can’t be totally free. They don’t have their pods anymore and many don’t know how to hunt on their own 😞
chevon1920 those animals migrate so many miles I don’t think they’d just come back, if you give them freedom they’ll go very far away
Lots of these animals are descendants of animals who’ themselves would never have made it out in the wild
Blue Stroti completely wrong. Jesus it’s easy to make up your own info isn’t it
@KavaLogue I think it’s easier for you to do some research than to argue with me about this. Your house cat might survive if u let it out in the wild because cat is solitary animal they don’t hunt in pack. But for social animal that hunt in pack it is different story brother 😂 That is why some animal can’t be separated from their parent because they need to learn their survival skill some might take a few months some might take a few years. Some rescue animal can’t be release into the wild have 2 reasons: injury and leak of survival skill that need to be passed down from their parents.
Laura Shadforth if trained the right way it could be a good form of enrichment but taking them from the wild, keeping them in small pools and exploiting them for money is completely wrong.
There are seals in a city called wenzhou that aren’t supposed to be there. I hope this message gets to someone who can help them out. There’s only one ocean aquarium in the city. Edit ; people complained to the city officials regarding the fact that the animals were kept in negligent conditions. They never did anything. There’s sea turtles there too that I’m sure is 💯 illegal.
Well done for putting the information up, I hope someone can go and help them also. Thanks I pray someone sees your post and can help.
You don’t appreciate how large the belugas are until you see them out of the water alongside a person.
I’m pretty sure their smiley faces, while cute looking, don’t express their actual feelings.
Glad they’re free
0:40 I wanna know what he’s listening to 😂
Lol, he’s bopping his head to some freshly made music, hahah
Their faces when they were being moved into the fresh air 🥰
