The British street artist Banksy has apparently unveiled his latest work on Instagram – a mural on a shelled building in war-torn Ukraine's liberated town of Borodyanka.

The elusive and renowned artist posted a photo of graffiti art depicting a woman in a leotard doing a handstand on the wall of a destroyed building in the town, about 35 miles northwest of the capital, Kyiv. The shot was one of three images the elusive figure posted on his public Instagram, the caption reading only: “Borodyanka, Ukraine."

The town was hit hard by Russian airstrikes in the first few weeks of the conflict. Electricity and heating outages across Ukraine caused by missile and drone strikes to energy infrastructure have added urgency to preparations for winter.
