Fauci was very clear about adhering to the White House reopening guidelines and that they need to be followed if a state is going to safely. “Though it may be “painful,” it’s critical for authorities and citizens to follow “guidelines of gradually phasing into a reopening.” Also saying that jumping the gun will likely set us back. None of the states reopening have met these guidelines.

The model/projection is not supporting the state’s decision to open its economy, so they abandon the model entirely. More states will be doing the same. The US’ coronavirus response is one of the worst in the world.

Trump’s problem is that it’s a minority medical opinion, and even those who agree that it, “could,” work, will loudly state that it is NOT worth the risk! In the same way that it’s simply NOT worth playing Russian Roulette, even if the gun you’re playing with has 25 chambers in the barrel! If it does work, (and we are about to find out) then the Donster has some paperwork from a, “medical,” source to point at, when claiming the credit. If it backfires, that same set of documents will vanish, never to be seen again. Donny just can’t risk the all but unified backlash that would come from his own (and other) scientific community, followed by the outrage of his political opposition, followed then by the outrage and urgent desire to remove him, for the sake of their own lives, from an electorate who are just on the point of getting that very opportunity in November! Just look at this health crisis?
