  1. They were civilians when they got hit by the avalanche. Their job had nothing to do with it. Stop trying to gain unwarranted sympathy for them by identifying them as cops.

    1. @Stephen Wlodarczyk Agreed. But they did the same thing on live TV news. All channels. I really thought it was a law & order situation.

  2. Everyone trained in backcountry skiing knows the risk is substantial when going out in conditions like they were. When I was snowboarding in Nelson there was a fresh layer of hoar frost on everything. These unsafe conditions aren’t going anywhere

  3. What a joke. Obviously they didn’t take the proper safety precautions. Otherwise they would still be alive.

  4. Trudeau and his mother SMILED and grinned while discussing his sibling’s death, saying “If only he had played video games instead”

  5. Very inappropriate title. It leads one to believe they were on duty when this accident occurred. If they were off duty, then they were private citizens. This is clickbait. I would expect better from a major news org. Don’t you have editors?
