The video of these young people’s attack by law enforcement literally broke my heart and I immediately began to cry at the injustice and Taniyah’s cries just echoed in my head and heart. I’m glad that they are charged but we need convictions. Officers being convicted of their crimes will help to send the message that it is not ok and it time for change.

I saw this on tik tok. Alot of tik tokers made videos before heading out to protest to let us know, “they are not suicidal, they will not runaway, if you dont hear from me please look for me. It is foul play” so many had live updates. So many had made videos walking home. One was attacked walking home beforee curfew 6pm only to be attacked by police for breaching curfew which switched to 5pm and that kid didnt know curfew had changed.

I was born in Atlanta and I was horrified when I saw what happened to these 2 young adults. In my 42 years on this earth I’ve seen Georgia Cops do some horrible things and this is yet another to the list. They served a no knock warrant to the wrong house and killed a grandmother as she sat in her lazy boy. Then got caught trying to cover it up.
They shot a flash bang into a baby’s crib and hurt that child but refused to pay medical bills (another warrant served and guess what the person they were looking for didn’t live there) Georgia could be an amazing city IF they cleaned up the police and got the bad ones out!
I’m scared for people of color in my state and they are right to be scared and angry!
These are strong kids who hopefully will have lots of support and will stay strong!
Those two should press charges.
