It doesn’t take a rocket-scientist (hehe) to understand that NASA is BROKE = why else would they trust a private company with their classified payloads & their safety
That’s a pretty uninformed take my friend, NASA realizes that they don’t need to make every rocket to launch their projects into space, they can let other American companies focus on that. NASA focuses on deep space/other missions that commercial companies would never take on because there would be no return on their investment, like for example the Parker Solar Probe, the Curiosity rover, the New Horizons spacecraft or the SMAP satellite, just to name a few.
NASA receives about $20 billion in funding per year and has always used the private sector.
