  1. Thanks for this important story on social issues. I want more! I’m new to MSNBC, and I dont want to unsubscribe and go back to Democracy now…

    1. @Demetria Karnavas you brought trump up. And since you are so supportive of the current occupiers of the white house, just how many illegals are staying at your place?

  2. They haven’t been paying attention to the rate that rents are increasing. Forget buying a home being out of people’s reach, being able to rent a home is already out of reach.

    1. @N W It’s not much different here, except the job openings are plentiful. Anyone with a good work ethic can easily move up to home ownership.

    2. @Troy Stocker actually, hedge funds are buying homes as a hard assets. The dollar is volatile, but homes are a stable market. 25-30% of homes sold in Houston are going to corporations. Don’t blame California’s for this, and if you do then realize all they’ve done is out capitalism red states at their own game.

    3. Dont know if anyone cares at all but last night I hacked my girl friends Instagram account using Instaplekt. You can find it by Googling for InstaPlekt account hacker 😉

    1. Just curious..don’t you have family or friends..Not judging or doubting you ..where is your family..

    1. To bad most of them live in states where the democrats kept them locked down and out of work and school far to long. You vote in a democrat, you pay more in so many ways.

    2. @Jim Berton That’s a nonsensical remark. Republicans are incapable of effectively managing a society.
Because they only care about themselves. They would live in mud huts if not for Democrats.

    1. @Demetria Karnavas rental properties? Good get those houses in the hands of people who can build wealth, instead of one guy with 12 houses paid for by rent.

    2. @Larry Scarr Yeah, rental properties. The CDC eviction moratorium ends June 30th. If property owners don’t get their rent, millions of families will be out in the street. In the real world.

    3. @Demetria Karnavas landlords use rent to pay mortgage Building wealth, on the backs of poor folk. They didn’t earn that money, renting is the legal way to get rich doing nothing.

    4. @Larry Scarr I understand how it works. I’ve been representing low-income tenants for decades. If landlords don’t get rent relief from the feds, unless the moratorium is extended, millions of low-income families will be on the street along with their possessions. Real world, not theory.

    5. @Demetria Karnavas f the land lords, they ain’t going to be homeless, let them all default, and have to sell so average people can buy the house..

    1. @Richard Elgin Do the math. A point lower in interest doesn’t compare with doubling of home prices by Trump’s foreign investors.

  3. My question is this – what rental assistance is there for people who got behind on rent due to the pandemic’s effects on their jobs/businesses, so they had a decrease in income, but are still over the 80% Areas Median Income?

  4. Because of the economic crisis and the rate of unemployment now is the best time to invest and make money 💯

  5. This sister is good she knows what is going on she doesn’t just talk about it she understands it

  6. My county has been 50% poverty for decades, I don’t see it changing for the better anytime soon.

  7. Just imagine how much worse it would be if dingleberry Donny was still “leading” from the golf course. Not that there was much left for him to screw up

  8. People in Govt ..pls take a look at my Koreatown neighborhood..where so many homeless people with their tents + things they’ve accumulated all strewn on sidewalks. Can’t go outside for walks anymore

  9. What a great name for the Housing Sec. I actually didn’t know the name of the Sec., so I read the title as, “As poverty increases due to pandemic, housing sec. fudges…” and thought it was a hit piece.
