The point is that all gov buildings were paid for and built by the citizens, the same citizens whose rights are In alienable under the constitution and God. As long as behavior is good and not threatening there is no problem. There are laws against brandishing weapons and making threats. Note that no one was arrested for that. In a representative Republic such as the one in which we live officials are elected to represent us by a majority vote. Yet that doesn’t mean that whoever is in the minority doesn’t have a voice. Kind a like the laws that we passed to protect our minorities… You know the ones that Democrats stonewalled and stonewalled and stonewalled. The ones Republicans passed. Fun fact; Abraham Lincoln was a republican and he freed the slaves. Southern Democrats were the ones who opposed it. Personally I think the governor went off the deep end with the power drunkenness and started acting like a foreign dictator. The point of my comment was that all Americans whether they like guns or not should support the rights of others under the second amendment to possess firearms that are for self-defense. You will never find me or any other responsible gun owners cowering in hiding behind some BS like “oh it’s just a deer rifle”. However we do find some Americans trying to shame people for owning weapons of self-defense. We then go on to shame them because they took a weapon into the capital building in a peaceful manner. @Nick Blank The study done in Santa Clara County showed people contracted Covid19 at 50 to 85 times the number of cases being reported. No symptoms. That means the mortality rate is much lower than initially expected. It’s still nasty, but not worth shutting down our economy and causing total social collapse.
@Khyrid dude if the people that have devoted their life to study infectious diseases are all urging people to not go to movie theaters, restuarants, and large gatherings; I’m pretty positive people should take their advice. The economy can wait, nothing is going away permanently and things will resume after it’s contained.
