A woman who says she survived the July 4th shooting in Highland Park, Illinois gave an emotional plea after children and staff members were killed in a shooting at a Christian elementary school in Nashville.

– Ban AR-15s, similar weapons for new purchases
– Increase sentence for illegal guns
– Pay cops more to improve quality
– Build more prisons to demonstrate oversupply
– Amend the 2nd Amendment (“militia” “arms”)
– Embarrass suspect(s) publicly to reduce copycats
– Reform the bail policy; lock repeat offenders
– Shame, recall judges & DAs who reduce their sentences

Since cracking down & enforcing the law, drunk driving fatalities have declined 26%. And among those under the age of 21, the number of fatalities has decreased 61%.
So, it might very well be possible to decrease the number of fatalities with some common sense gun laws.

I just had this argument yesterday. Why are schools not locked down when classes start and a school guard at the door. Electronic surveillance, electronic door entry and bulletproof closets or rooms, that soon schools are now implementing.
You can blame a rifle all you want but prevention of violence at schools is what is needed.
