I can vividly see the scene: His security folk completely ignored the other guy (which is kind of a human failure on itself but probably in accordance with their training…) and everybody silently agreed that he would be left behind, including the guy. And here is why kevin isnt a leader of anything, because if he was a leader he would evacuate him and everyone they pick up on the hallway and his security would have to deal with that. Leaders reveal themselves as such in times of crisis.
All I can think of is the scene from Jurassic Park where the lawyer abandons the kids and hides in a toilet, only to get eaten by the T-Rex. While sitting on the toilet.
