Analysis: These Republicans are trying to turn McConnell into a midterm scapegoat

    1. Republicans are asking for an audit on the money sent to Ukraine. THAT SOUNDS RESPONSIBLE RIGHT? Who do you know that invests money into something without knowing how it’s gonna be spent? WHO! Meanwhile democrats don’t see no need for an audit. DOES THAT SOUND RESPONSIBLE? Republicans are crazy at times yes but what they say makes CLEAR SENSE at times,we can’t dismiss that like the democrats do. Another problem FTX. Now politicians robbing people huh! And your just gonna jump over that story. How morally wrong is that? You make republicans look good because you prove the statement FAKE NEWS true.

    2. @Bongani Madlala  you think the government doesn’t know how the money is being spent? Wow, you’re absolutely delusional.yes You are right. many politicians do rob people. However, the majority of those people are the Republicans.

    3. Trump is Jewish he will sell United States to the Russia and run away to Israel good business to Trump baby😂😂😂🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇

  1. Mitch McConnell might be a cranky old tortoise who doesn’t care much for the people he represents, but to blame anyone other than the orange man and the cronies he still has (e.g. Ted Cruz) for the Republicans’ midterm failure is ludicrous.

    1. I resent MITCH being related to my beautiful sensitive tortoises 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢 5 tortoise review despised comment (see babe comments)

    2. You can blame more than one person or aspect..McConnell used his funds to support a candidate in Alaska to get rid of a Trump candidate instead of funding candidates in the closest and most important races in other states such as Blake Masters in Arizona, which may have added to Masters loss and therefore a loss for the party and conservatism. Trump’s endorsements and him picking on DeSantis didn’t help either.

    3. Mich McConnell is Cranky in his old age he needs to Retire, and trump and family needs to stop and go to Russia 🤮🤮💩🙏 Diane jones from southern Illinois 🙏🌍🌍

    1. @dire wolf because saying to peacefully and patriotically let your voices be heard incites violence, but Ray Epps herding people into the capital building wasn’t. Seriously? Hahaha, the thinking of DONKEYS amuses me.

    2. WRONG WOLFY. Pelosi was ahead of security. Hired actors, had a film crew and wait for it….REJECTED THOUSANDS OF GUARDSMAN THAT PRESIDENT TRUMP OFFERED HER. Deal with your hate or it will consume you.

  2. Analysis: If anti democratic people (not “politicians” because politicians in a democratic republic actually believe in elections) were expelled from our government we would be able to move on. Until that happens we will be forced to relive the civil war over and over. Our forefathers left us an outline. All we have to do is fill t in.

  3. As a Democrat, I despise Mitch the most specifically because of his proven effectiveness at pushing and securing GOP objectives. He’s the GOP’s MVP. I hope they manage to squeeze him out but it’s not likely.

    1. 09.31 EST
The GOP needs to win only one of the ten House races that have not been called to get a majority – and it’s possible Lauren Boebert will deliver them that victory. think again

  4. Y’all sick. No way they’re legitimately disappointed when some of them coulda shoulda have been arrested and jailed by now…smh.

    1. Scott, Hawley, Cruz and Graham might get lower committee assignments than what they have had. I’d give them the most boring and non-important committee assignments. They deserve demotions. LOL

  5. Seriously, McConnell was right when he said that they needed a higher caliber of candidates in senatorial contests, Scott was wrong. You can’t gerrymander the whole state and you need someone who appeals to more than just the most radical wings of the party to win.

  6. I never thought I’d say this but Mitch McConnell was trying to tell these nuts that they’re not going to win because of Trump’s mega candidates

  7. It is always amazing to watch McCarthy walking on his hind legs considering his complete lack of a spine.
Yo Mitch, your monster is back.
Cancun Cruz was another of the reasons Republicans did so poorly.

  8. If they would worry more about fixing the poor quality of their ideas and goals they might end up with better quality candidates.

    1. True… But that would mean they’d have to change their propaganda at Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, RSBN, talk radio, and many other right-wing media sources – all to be very moderate, which includes rejecting abortion bans, rejecting the Great Replacement theory, and ending the demonization of LGBTQ people & Democrats. The fact is their voter base is currently radicalized… And that means they vote for the most extreme candidates in the primaries. They control them via their media.

    2. No matter how they dress the pig, the GQP is now a one trick pig – a complete failure of ideas and popular ideology makes them irrelevant and in need of redundance because they can not EVER win a majority without cheating so the one trick is to gain control, change the rules, and say goodbye to one person/one vote forever

    3. Their theory was that if they didn’t present a platform, they couldn’t be criticized in it. This is an age of mostly negative campaigning.

  9. Mitch is right. _Quote_ : “Well, I never predicted a red wave. We never saw that in any of our polling.” “We underperformed among independents and moderates because their impression of many of the people in our party in leadership roles is that they’re involved chaos, negativity and excessive attacks, and it frightened independent and moderate Republican voters.” “Candidate quality, you’ll recall I said in August, is important.” “For example Republicans were “crushed by independent voters” in Arizona and New Hampshire”

    1. @Yash200 Wzee Those candidates who do not accept election results lost all over this country. They lost in the same breath that Biden made Mid-term History which has not been done before in 20 years. Further, the historic peaceful transfer of power has been going on for quite some time, up till Trump lost.

    2. @Yash200 Wzee McConnell warned them of their choice of ill-qualified mid-term candidates. Although some are already in, they can be seen the same way as those other extreme candidates who lost in their own districts across the country.

    3. @bumbleboo twiddletoes _History in the making_ when you see those republican voters who don’t like where their own party is heading, all joined the democrat and independent voters in all of the winning state districts. _Democrats win_ . Republican Leaders would be smart to bring back the very fabric of their original party that used to stand for good principles and values, when they understood that democracy/constitution/freedom/rule-of-law and our way of life is utmost important here in America.

    4. As a former Republican, I agree 100% with the McConnell analysis – it really can’t be argued with because he’s right

  10. I would contend that the candidate quality in these midterms was perfectly representative of the current state of the GOP. To bemoan the overall quality would be to imply the GOP has offered the voters more than election denying, radical right, conspiracy theory backers. There are exceptions, but not enough to move the overall average far enough in the direction of “sane”.

  11. If Mitch was right, how is it his fault? I’d love to see Mitch gone, but I’d love to see Cruz, and trump gone more.

  12. Success is not built on success. It’s built on failure, It’s built on fraustration. it’s built on fear that you have to overcome. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life
