No. Republicans won’t do the right thing. They have been involved in doing whatever it takes to go around voters whether it’s lie, cheat,or steal. They are at the end of the line after 40 plus years of planning and work between them the courts and their donors. If they lose the presidency many are going to jail, there are multiple Congressman in the Mueller Report alone. How many were in Russia over the 4th of July on a secret trip, have brought secret correspondence to Putin and are spouting Russian Intelligence propaganda. FOX has been involved in secret meetings and messengers between Trump, Russia, Ukraine, Hannity, McConnell to name a few. The Republican Party blocked election and infrastructure security while removing all Dems from committees involved in election security since Trump was elected. They have been doing everything in their power to get election data from states and have from many states. They’ve already won. We aren’t in the streets and by the time we are, they will have made it a terrorist act to protest, like Trump has pushed for since his first day in office.
Trump can confess to murder and the score would still be 53-47. They would say it doesn’t rise to an impeachable offense. FOX News would not air the confession so half of America would label it fake news. Need any more convincing that since the “election”, we now live on Russia?
The worst damage Trump has done is reduce the accountability of the Government and thus the trust that the AmericAn people have on their political system. It will take a long time for that to rebound.
I wish they would stop hoping for those “moderate” republicans to do the right thing. They won’t. They pretend to be concerned but always vote as McConnell instructs. It’s a con they have been using for years. Get wise.

Yesterday, Trump broke his previous tweet record by posting more than 140 tweets on the 2nd day of the trial. He posted 41 tweets between 12 and 1am. That’s about 1 tweet every 88 seconds.😲 Trump should be impeached for that alone.

As a student of history I am reminded of another republic the pre-war German Weimar republic.This was a democracy with the rule of law.The Nazis told lots of lies and were very cunning and ruthless but too few Germans in high places did their duty and called them out.Too many Germans either collaborated or else looked the other way and pretended things were OK when they clearly were not. Perhaps some Democratic U.S. Senators know that they have requisite 51+ votes for subpoena witnesses (Bolton , Pompeo , Giuliani , Mulvaney , Parnas) .
